asus geforce2 mx and win2k?

I'm having trouble with my geforce2 mx in win2k professional.. i had problems with the asus drivers that came with the box, and i downloaded the new detonator drivers and those gave me problems as well. it seems it doesn't like running in full screen mode. both q3arena and unreal tournament freeze after a short while. any suggestions? my next try is to go with win98se and see if i get the same problems.

at this point, if its not an os problem.. it could be any hardware... jeez.
