I just finished building this beast of a machine and once I get off work I'll have time to start setting up the BIOS and install an OS. I am looking for some suggested of recommended voltage settings and other BIO settings that are important for me to setup. Any help or redirection is greatly appreciated. I'm not looking to overclock at this time so just basic BIOS settings are good.

Some of the specs are:

- Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450
- ASUS Formula Rampage
- 4GB Corsair DDR28500
- eVGA 9800
- Seasonic 650w PS
- Thermalright Extreme Heatsink

Our specs have some stuff in common. Once you're in BIOS, set AI Overclock Tuner to manual, and type in 333 in the newly visible FSB option, while letting FSB strap on Auto. DRAM Frequency you can manually set this, perhaps 800MHz is more than enough. Then DRAM Timing Control to Manual and set the first four options to 4, 4, 4, 12.

Overclocking or not, best to set the voltages manually rather than on Auto, go down until you see the voltages section, set all the voltages to their lowest voltages respectively apart from CPU Voltage and DRAM Voltage. You can set CPU Voltage to 1.15V when CPU is running on stock and DRAM Voltage to 2.0V, and you'll have a cool running system. You can try out higher or lower CPU Voltage whichever is stable.

Pretty much the only stuff to change when running on stock. Good luck.
