What do you think of this card? It sells for $210 cdn or about US $180.

Anything else I should consider in this price range?

It's fine for that price. Just make sure that it is in stock at that price, as it's not usually that cheap from any reputable retailer.

If you want to go a little cheaper, there's the 7900GS for a little less performance. At that price range, though, the X1950 Pro is fine.

I honestly think I would stay away from the 1950pro. First off it is out of stock most the time. Second they were suppose to be $199 cards and have turned out to be $250+ for many of them. And finally they seem to be either coming in terribly slow or disappearing all together. Something is up with these cards.

It's actually in stock most of the time after that first week. Only the 512M of the card is usually over 250. The 256M versions are ~200 as advertised. It usually doesn't hit $180, which is what the warning was for because some places have those permanently out of stock to soak up orders from greedy people. :) I have no idea how things are in Canada, though.

There are plenty of reasons to get other cards (such as wanting more power, wanting to get Nvidia, wanting to OC well, etc.), but supply stock is not one of them.
