asus enhanced driver

reading on ASUS' website, I dloaded and fired up the enhanced driver, the one called 'splendid' technology... but the video turned up ugly and highly wahed out... I uninstalled the software but still the video is crappy. This happens on win media player, but not on quicktime... any suggestions??
