Looks nice but the software will make this thing. I'm still content with the iPad 2 at the moment because Honeycomb needs more time in the oven IMO. iOS could use a kick in the ass too.

I just may bite on this. I want an iPad but $500 is a lot to justify for a toy. Hell if they could get stereo BT working on the NC I would just go with one of those.

Pricing going to make or break this. If they overprice the keyboard dock, they'll be making a very big mistake.

Why? If people want a keyboard they'll buy a notebook, they're not going to buy this.

People like myself who want to buy both a netbook and a tablet will buy this if price of keyboard dock is right. If price is too high, they'll buy separate netbook and tablet. There are many netbook and tablet choices, the advantage of this product is offering both for (not much more than) price of one.

Also, good luck finding a netbook with an IPS LED screen, not even the $1K MacBook Air. Good luck finding a netbook with 16 hour battery life. Granted it's not same level of capability, but if all you are doing is browsing the web, BSing on forums and IMing, it's good enough. If the whole package is $500 or so, this is a steal compared to buying separate netbook and tablet.

I'd buy the keyboard adapter for it. The biggest trouble I have for my iPad while lying in bed is holding it. It gets kind of awkward after a bit, but I never had that problem with a full-fledged laptop. So, I could literally leave the Transformer in it's keyboard attachment and use it that way.

Make it $500 for a 16GB + keyboard and I'll bite. I love new toys .

I sure would. It would let me dump my notebook and make things simpler. If they can put this out for $500 w/ dock I'm on board.

I need a new laptop since it is super slow (7 years old). So I am highly considering getting this. Cheap way to go about replacing my laptop and on top of that I can get a tablet out of it too.... sounds great. Not to mention it has HDMI which is awsome so I can use it for streaming too.

It looks so slick. This is the worst kind of toy for me because everything looks like it was designed really well and the price is right. BUT for me I don't really have that many uses for it. One main thing I would consider using it for is maybe for e-books, but it's too big to comfortably use in bed which is honestly where I read the most. It'd be slightly more useful than my laptop since it'd be smaller and less cluttered, and anything I couldn't do on the tablet I'd just want to do on my desktop anyway. Bah... damn these new gadgets!

While I won't say that statement isn't true, our sampling is rather limited at the moment. I would say it is within the realm of possibility for someone to launch a Honeycomb device that operates nigh flawlessly, just Moto has failed to do so(Honeycomb could have underlying issues to be sure, I just wouldn't be certain that is the case quite yet).

Oh I agree wholeheartedly. When I sold my iPad 1 a few months back, I was ready to jump to an Android tablet with open arms. The Xoom was released and well, it wasn't as exciting as I hoped it would be.

I have faith Google will polish up Honeycomb but I'm more anxious to see some killer apps. Hopefully, these lower cost tablets will attract more quality developers.

Man, I really want this to be successful because I really want one. I hope Netflix will work on it if they ever release an android app.

The ability to read Micro-SD is fundamentally broken in Honeycomb. Honeycomb is a hack job, as admitted by Google itself, that was rushed out to compete with the iPad.

In fact I think at this point the only reason Honeycomb was not open sourced it because tech journalists could see what a hackjob it was, and early Android tablets would lose huge sales.

Maybe, just maybe, before other Honeycomb tablets launch some of this will get cleared up. But for now....

Hopefully they will have it fixed by then.

What I am saying is right now even the most updated version of Honeycomb lacks that feature...

This device is set to be on sale real soon(1-3 weeks). If the MicroSD card is working correctly that issue was a short lived one.

I noticed when I had the Xoom that the internal storage was actually called "SDCARD" when you looked at it with a file manager. So it's obvious to me that ti's some kind of hack job. Honeycomb has potential but it was pretty obvious that it's not nearly polished enough yet.
