ASUS eee PC 900 $530

Since Dell has been talking up their mini Inspiron, we should all really wait and see what happens there. If nothing else, it might end up driving the price on the EEE down if that's the one you really want...

dis the 2133 all you like, but it runs fine for what most people use a mini notebook for. if you plan to do some hardcore gaming on a 9" screen you have issues. the 2133 actually has a nice sized keyboard and doesn't feel like a toy like the eee pcs.

I'm pretty sure Isaiah will blow away Atom (pretty much everything blows away Atom, Pentium III is faster per clock) but it does come at a higher power envelope. Just like Atom blows away ARM CPU's, but is not in the same market power consumption wise.

I'm really disappointed that we are seeing these mini-notebooks at this kind of $500+ price range.... I think they were good for the $300 niche market that wanted a cheap, ultra-portable machine. But now they are getting into the range of a decent "regular" notebook. I suppose if you only care about portability it's still a good deal though.
