The IPS screen helped make my decision. My laptop is getting old as hell and it takes ~5+ minutes to boot up. I am thinking of getting the keyboard dock with it to make it a true laptop replacement.

Nvidia/Netflix have promised Netflix support for all tegra 2 android devices so I am truly hoping for that. And soon HBO will have HBO go for android and with HDMI this will also be see alot of HTPC type usage.

Where the heck can I pre-order one? If no pre-orders are available... which retailers will have them?

Man, I am happy to see Microcenter there. Our Microcenter is usually VERY hard to get to if you don't have a car, so I never have a problem getting things from there.

I'll decide on Tuesday whether or not to get an iPad 2 or this. The Engadget review wasn't that great on it though. lol

So I am supposed to join Facebook just to see the link? Thanks... but no thanks.

Seriously.... all you have to do is press the link. No signup required. But since you aren't capable of checking things on your own others have done it for you.

Some of us have social networks blocked at work...

Yup. Or, in my case ABP was blocking the whole page and was only showing a logon/password for Facebook. In any case, I think that the OP's reactions are totally justified and not inappropriate or rude in any way.

I can't tell if that was sarcasm.

Hmm, I wonder... if they mention the place as a ".com", does that mean it's not available in B&M stores? I see that Target was mentioned without it, but I'd assume that Best Buy would have it in stores as well. I'd assume that while Sears might have it online, they probably wouldn't have it in stores.

It looks like there are potentially a lot of locations around me to get this at though... Target, Best Buy, HH Gregg, Office Depot and Staples. Very tempting!

You know what - forget this. I am going to buy an iPad 2. One of my gripes with Android is it's laggy UI. After watching this video, I've decided that there is NO way in hell I'll buy a Transformer.

I was a fan of Android since I bought my HTC Hero on release day. Since then, everything related to Android has been a laggy mess. It's been years and Google still hasn't figured out how to make a snappy UI.

Man this video made me angry.

If you could use an iPad without installing the bloated piece of crap that is iTunes, I would go with an iPad 2 also.

It's not that bad. The hardware is capable of better performance, Honeycomb just needs to mature a little bit.

BTW, the video is wrong in stating that you can only use multi-touch gestures on the tablet. The touchpad supports them. Also keep in mind that engadget's writers are notoriously biased towards all things apple.

That lag in the touchscreen could be by design. Much like how you can add a trail to your mouse in Windows. It looks way too uniform to be due to poor performance.

I'm watching this video and it is showing none of the "lagginess" you perceive

How many times do we have to hear this same exact sentence with anything related to Android?

Agreed. I still think that things are likely to improve though. As I said before, if I could get a iPad 2 without iTunes, I probably would. Also consider that with the Transformer you get SD card in dock, micro sd in tab, HDMI out, USB, Flash. That makes up for a little bit of lagginess in my opinion. Honestly, I am kind of on the fence between this and one of the newer Zacate netbooks like this: http://www.msimobile.com/level3_productpage.aspx?cid=4&id=293
