Asus ddr333 bug?

For overclocking purposes, i have to use ddr333 or lower speed dividers.

However, this time, I left everything else at stock speed. 1800mhz cpu, 1000ht.

My ram is rated at ddr400 2-3-2-5 1T. It runs 100% ok as advertised.

When I clocked down the ram to ddr333, leaving the timings at 2-3-2-5 1t, system won't boot. sometimes it won't even post. I have to reboot a million times just to get to the bios configure menu successfully.

Boots up fine at ddr266 2-3-2-5-1t.

So it's ddr400, ddr266, ddr200. But no likey ddr333.

How can running ram slower than spec mess up like this?

Does anyone else have this issue?
