I want to buy the Asus'best motherboard for PIII (and next PIV) slot 1 or socket 370, and i want some advice:
- CUV4X or P3V4X or CUSL2
- Via or Intel
- Slot 1 or Socket 370

Note: I have, at this moment, 256 Mb. SDRAM PC-100.

Bought a CUV4X a month or so ago, and as soon as the CUSL2 was availiable, I ordered one. Gonna auction off the CUV4X. How's that for a recommendation?

Go for the CUSL2. Pentium 4 is not compatible with the current designs....it uses a different socket and a different bus altogether.

The CUSL2 looks good as long as you don't need > 512 MB of RAM. There appear to be some kinks but it looks like a great board. Definitely go with a socket board. With a bit of luck Intel's upcoming .13 micron P3s will work in your CUSL2 (guessing here they'll be compatible and use the fc-pga design).
