Well at this point I would definetly avoid the TNT2 chipset (or is the V550 a TNT1???) There will always be debates over which cards are the best, but I think it comes down to what you are going to use them for. Are frame rates the highest priority, or image quality, dvd performance or driver updates? Once you answer that it will become clear which card you want. So, what are priorities?

Well I like to use it for gaming first and everything else second. Mostly 2d and 3d on a 17 or 19 monitor Image quality is a must no dvd yet?? and updates are a must

Thanks

Well, I'd rule the Diamond Viper (TnT2) and Annihilator (GF1) out since they're older generation stuff, and you probably won't find a 64mb DDR GTS board for under $200 so you're left with either a 32mb Radeon or GTS or a V5 5500. I have a CUSL2 with a V5 running, no problems, but which card is going to be best for you will probably depend on what types of games you play. If you're heavy into first person shooters, I'd go with the GTS, but if you play a larger variety of games, including sims, you might want to pick up a V5.

Go with the V5. It is the best all-round card you can buy right now. For under 150 bucks a steal also. Look in the hot deals at the thread on this. I changed out my radeon 32meg DDR for the V5 its great.

Thanks for the help I think the Voodoo 5 looks best, but if I can get a good deal on a GeForce 2 GTS?64 Mb DDR I will get that one. Wish me luck!!!:D
