Hello ALL

I just upgraded my PC
current spec:
P3 733Mhz + ASUS CUSL2
2 Micron 128 MB PC133 SDRAM ( I suspect I am busted, I dont know if the RAM is really a Micron one...is there any way to check? )
27 gb maxtor ATA66 HD 7200RPM
10 gb maxtor ATA66 HD 5400RPM
32x Compaq CD-ROM(From my previous system)
Plextor 12/10/32 CD-RW
no Graphic card (getting GeForce MX soon, now using the onboard graphic controller)
no Sound card(getting creative live soon)
300 watt full-tower (6 5.25 andn 5 3.5)
Sony 17' Trinitron

Problem : My PC will just boot up fine, but tend to freeze after a while. I even get several blue screens yesterday. The computer is very unstable now.... :((

Please help a newbie here, this is my 1st time building a computer.
Thanks

i am suspecting the ram too. i don't know how micron's mem are like, but i would try to "underclock" the cpu, meaning go from 133 fsb to 100, which will make your cpu run at 100 x 5.5 = 550. that way you are sure the ram is running at 100. see if that helps.

if that's no problem, probably either the cpu or ram is problematic. i would see if i can borrow some "real" pc133 ram.
