ASUS CUSL2-M and Pentium III

Can anybody tell me if the ASUS CUSL2-M motherboard will accept a P3 1.266 FCPGA or a P3 1.113 FCPGA processor ? It`s a Socket 370 Coppermine type motherboard and I`m looking to replace my current 800 Mhz cpu.

If the 1.113 is a coppermine core proc., then yes with maybe a bios flash..If either the 1.1 or 1.2 procs are Tualitins, then no..You will need a TUSL2 with Tualitin support.

Thanks, as far as I know the 1.113 IS a Coppermine core, what I really need to know is if 1.113 and up is the Tualitins core or Coppermine!There are some Coppermines faster than 1.113, but the newest are Tualitins, and I just want to know what speed they start at.

Nada..There is a few coppermines @ 1.13. Anything above that is a Tually. Be extremely careful when looking for a Coppermine @ 1.13 and only get it from someone you can trust and can actually verify that it is in fact a coppermine. I have seen resellers @Pricewatch.com that use both words Coppermine AND Tualitin in their add when selling these procs. Best chances are that they are Tualitins..

I searched the Asus site and the only info I could find stated that the 1.333 and 1.4 are Tualatin, so I`ve ordered the 1.266 from Jungle. Knowing my luck I`ll have to send it back and get the 1.133.

Don't send it back...Get the appropriate board to mach the Tually

Yah, Gonzo's right keep the Tualatin. If you only have a Coppermine ready board there is an adapter and it's made by upgradeware. Tom's Hardware did a review on it and the product site is here. I don't know where you can buy these but there is a where to buy type of thing on the site. Hope that helps you some.
