Asus CUSL2 & keyboard lights

I just received a new Asus CUSL2 motherboard after assembly I am having problems with the keyboard lights. During start up several times all 3 keyboard lights flash several times and than I get a message saying that there is no keyboard after the system finishes booting up the keyboard still works? Also after shutting down the system the keyboard number lock light stays on? All jumpers and BIOS settings are at there default settings while I try to figure this out. Any help would be appreciated.🙁
 
Do you have a USB keyboard or just a regulare PS/2 keyboard? Just thought if you had USB the BIOS might notice the empty PS/2 plug but then the pnp and os make it work anyway? Just a guess...
