asus cubx and voodoo 5500

Hmmm...none here. ASUS is known for it's great stability with all sorts of hardware, and V5 is no exception. Both are very well constructed, and manufactured. You shouldn?t have any short of problem. In fact my V5 is running on an ASUS CUV4X, no problems at all.

do you also know if a 250 watt power supply is enough for the v5500?

Well, that would also depend on your CPU? The V5 has it's own power connector which connects to your PS directly. I would say 300Watt, no less, if your CPU were 700Mhz+. Why take the chance.

I know someone who ran a V5 on a 125 watt p/s. He upgraded to a 145W to be sure:)
