Hiya.
I was reading this article: http://www6.tomshardware.com/storage/02q2/020617/index.html which is basically a review of 4 CD writers. I am looking to buy my first CD writer (yes, I am behind the times), and in this review they said that this ASUS drive is "one of the best drives that we have ever used". Now, I am not going to be buying the most expensive drive ever. I want buffer-underrun protection but am not overly concerned with the speed of the drive given that I am not going to be paying top whack for it (i.e. I don't care if it isn't a 44 speed or whatever the fastest is now). Is this drive a good peice of hardware? Theres nothing I hate more than buying things that are 'crap' despite the fact that they may have many good features on paper. If anybody has this drive your comments would be great, or could anybody recommend an alternative? My budget is about £50-60 (US$75-90).
Thanks for any help or comments anybody may have 🙂
