OK. I've got the commando up and running @3.6, temps ok, voltages ok, "no buzzing", vid card at 1500/600 with coolbits. The stability is iffy at 3.6,not crashing in normal use but orthos fail at 30 min - 1 hour. @ 3.4 she runs orthos forever. Memory tests ok.Bios update to 803.
I've got several questions.
To start with I'm not a total noob to the OC but I get better results using the AI Suite/ booster software than I do manualy. When I run manualy overclocked I have much less stability.
Here is the manual in PDF, pg 80 is the beginning of the bios. Give it a minute to load and use the scroll on the right, it will show pages.
I'm sure I have the extreme tweaker and the advanced menus taken care of (almost everything disabled) but for the PCI-E freq. As to that all I'm certain of is 120 or below w/ the clock at 33.33MHz.

I would suggest you head over the XS forums. Theres more people tweeking that board then here.


also did u disable all your spread spectrums? Also you might want to play around with your Hyper Transport. YES these things have hyper transport.


 
Spread spectrums, :thumbsup:, hypertransport, 😱, I don't know, I'll have to check that out. thanks agio, I hate to join another forum, I just signed on to newegg cause some poor guy was thinking water without any real study. I linked your sticky. I think most that run water have done the kit routine at least once, three times for me . how bout you? Be honest,,,,
