TSMC has already taped out nearly 20 different products in .13 micron and full consumer ready production is slated for October-November/2000 a full year ahead of schedule.

Better to let nVidia speak for themselves. Relying on "sources" usually just creates false rumors and expectations.

TSMC is really cooking right now. And their stock is probably one of the best buys on the 'Street right now ... (hint ;) )

I found this on http://www.ixbt-labs.com/news/

More NV20 Details [6:16 pm] Rat
French site ACTUMicro.com has posted more details about NVIDIA?s upcoming NV20. Namely, there are two major points mentioned in their bit:

NV20 architecture was ready in May already. And all summer long NVIDIA was busy eliminating some bugs.
In the nearest couple of days, NVIDIA will get the first silicon test samples of its graphics chip. And if there are no grave errors there, the next chip revision will be considered the final one. In this case, NVIDIA will be ready to start shipping these chips to graphics card manufacturers in volume.
So, NV20 announcement is very likely to take place during Comdex/Fall, which will be arranged in mid November this year. That?s why the first graphics cards should supposedly start selling in January-February already.
As far as the official name of the upcoming NV20 is concerned, we hear that NVIDIA allegedly decided to retain a well-known GeForce brand for its next offspring and to call it GeForce III.
And now a few words about 4800Mpixels/sec fillrate. Most of you were pretty skeptical about this number, however, we got more info proving that it is absolutely correct. NV20 will support 300MHz working frequency and will process 4 pixels per clock, so that the fillrate will make 1200Mpixels per second. However, NV20 will feature HSR (Hidden Surface Removal) technology, which implies that the invisible surfaces won?t be textured at all and each pixel will be drawn just once. As a result, if we suppose that the average overdraw coefficient equals 4, we will get 4800Mpixels/sec. As for the T&L unit, its performance is expected to be twice the performance of this unit in GeFoprce2 GTS.
