Hey guys :)...i have this painful problem which occurred few days ago...:\ i have an ASUS P8P67 PRO Rev 3.1 btw...at sometimes when i turned on my pc i get this chassis intrusion error...i didnt even change any hardware or disassembled it recently....the worst part is i DONT have any option in my bios to disable the feature(under pc health, system security or at any corner)..and i dont have any specific jumpers on my mobo...

this problem occurs randomly and whenever i get this error after a simple reboot everything works perfectly fine...but this is such a pain to do the reboot every time it occurs ..so i need an advice from you all to prevent this thing permanently...

FYI-..didnt try cmos clear yet as most have mentioned it doesnt solve the prob...didnt go to solder anything (horrible part for me to do :\ ) ...

even tried different plug bases to ensure no earth probs....

PLEASE give me a solution guys...since this error occurs randomly im totally desperate now... :(

my casing is Cooler Master RC 430 btw...

You want a jumper on pins 1&2 on the CLRTC header and a jumper on pins 3&4 for the Chassis Intrusion header... so check all that carefully.

Wow, Asus still hasn't fixed this problem? I remember years ago getting these problems on Asus socket 775 motherboards. It was random on my board and my solution after a year was to get rid of the board.

i have a jumper with three pins bro..not with 4 pins...1&2=default...2&3=clear RTC ...no chassis intrusion header ...now there is another error instead of the chassis intrusion....says..

"Please enter setup to recover BIOS settings..
Press F1 to run setup.."

google searches says that i have to pull out and put the battery again...didnt do yet...would it run in to much problem with the clearance of CMOS??....have seen most said it's doesnt work either...would a bios update fix this prob or should i wait??

btw thanks a lot for the reply :)

PLEASE help guys :(

yeah i know...i used to love ASUS motherboards....but now i really hate this sh*tty feature!...idk why on the earth they put this damn thing inside normal boards without even leaving a way to disable it :(

thanks for the reply tho :)

Did you find the 'chassis intrusion' header? I have read where the header should have a jumper on it, but I cannot find it on your manual. (You might have a look) I also read where this particular header did not have a jumper on it, and once one was added the system worked fine. Who knows...

As for your current problems, I would probably look in the manual and see what is recommended to reset the BIOS. Once reset, I would then flash to the latest BIOS and see if it resolves your problem. If it doesn't, I am thinking the board may need RMA
