ASUS BIOS update with "Update CPU MicroCode" available

I just downloaded and installed a new BIOS for my ASUS TUF Z270 MARK 1, dated 9 Jan 2018. No real info, of course, but in the list of chances is "Update CPU MicroCode". No mention of Spectre or Meltdown, but if you have an ASUS board you might want to check to see if a new update is available.
