I've read enough bad shit about ASUS that my new build has zero parts of theirs. This is ridiculous.

Dumb decision, but doesn't seem all that bad as far as things go. Fits in with the stupidity of Win11 overall.

What would've been cool is a taskbar icon that appears n days before christmas. When you click it, it causes snow to fall on the desktop like the old compiz effect.

I salute ASUS for doing their part in pushing back against the godless war on Christmas by forcing their users to acknowledge and celebrate the season!

Let's Make America ASUS Again!

Edit: Just realized that Asus rhymes with Haysoos (AKA The JEBUS). 5 dimensional parrises squares happening over there...

Ever since I found how to disable armoury crate with Asus builds, I disable it immediately after building the hardware and before installing the OS.

Gigabyte has their equivalent of Armoury Crate, I don't know if MSI does.

My current build has an Asus Prime B650M and I just assumed this was some sort of software I hadn't installed (because why would I?)

I have a Gigabyte mobo but haven't noticed anything intrusive since this build - which was in the summer.

Bad news is that with ASUS if not disabled in the BIOS prior to installing Windows Armory Crate will try to install itself. (wtf)

My new case is by them but I thought that that would be fairly safe from shovelware! They'll certainly not be my first choice of MB anymore.
