Looks awesome, but the GTX 690 seems to give it a run for its money, and I could probably pick up 5 used 7970s for $1600. Nonetheless, it still looks like a neat limited edition card.

Personally, I'm not impressed. I think the 690 is a far better balanced solution and the pricing is crazy. YMMV.

Awesome beastly card, though the drivers dull the shine a bit....
The ARES II's lack of CrossFire support affected the performance summary on the previous page a lot.

I removed Assassin's Creed 3, Batman Arkham City, F1 2012, StarCraft II, Skyrim, and World of Warcraft and created the graphs below.


Do these use the same drivers as regular CF?

Is insane when 4 gpu scales well. Unfortunately only works well in some cases in 1900X1200.

I'm not a benchmark expert, but I've seen scores fluctuate from one run to the next... from high to low and then back to a higher score again.

Please do say something. The hardware companies need to know we won't be paying $900 for single GPU cards and $1600 for dual GPU. If people gobble these things up we can expect more of the same from here on out.

Complaining about the price for this is stupid. It is a bling part, of which only 999 are made, and it is shipped in a freakin briefcase. This is for people who want to spend money, and it is boxed and presented accordingly.
