Asus A8V Rev2 Bios agp/pci lock problem ?

Hi all , I got my A8V rev2.0 about 3 weeks ago. It shipped with bios 1005.27. 2 days ago I decided to flash to 1006. After flashing and some hours working, artifacts in sound started to appear both in mp3s and games (e.g. warcraft3). My first though was that maybe the pci lock wasnt working as it should be since I am working my 3500+ @ 220x11 (=2420). Anyway before chancing fsb I restarted just in case.. Still artifacts after restart. I changed fsb back to 200 and artifacts no more. So it has to do with pci lock or something. The next day (yesterday) I tried both the new official 1007 and the beta 1008.02 , both producing artifacts @ 220x11. So today I switched back to 1005.27 and voila, no artifacts at all @ 220x11. I dont think my audigy 2zs is defunct or something. right now its working perfectly. Anyway , audigy drivers are the latest, so are via4in1, temperatures are great (thermalright xp120 + 2x 120 fans in case) etc etc so it has to be a bios problem.

anyway , if some1 has a8v and audigy 2zs i'd love to hear if they have artifacts with latest bios's and working at 220fsb.

P.S. Onboard ac97 sound remained always disabled

I have a close setup, running at 220 -225 fsb using 1007 bios
no problems

Only thing I can think of is install the latest audigy2 drivers, I don't think it is m/b related

I am using the latest audigy2 drivers. and anyway if its not mobo related issue why would this problem appear with 1006, 1007, 1008.02 (beta) and not with the shipped 1005.27 ? I know its sounds strange but I really tested all 4 bios'es with 200 and 220 fsb.
