I have this problem of my processor (A64 3500+) sticking to my heatsink so bad that it comes out of the socket, with the heatsink, without releasing the locking lever. This tends to bend the pins on the proc. and really scares me as far as the proc getting xx%%## up. My question is, is this a motherboard problem AS-5 problem, or am I doing something wrong? I only put a very thin layer of paste between them, but I have noticed it creates a vacuum and the proc. does stick to the heatsink pretty bad. I have tried AS ceramique, it doesn't stick as bad as the AS-5, but my proc. still comes out with the heatsink. Are there any suggestions from anyone who has had this problem?

To remove a heatsink, you should slowly and carefully move it clockwise and counterclockwise by a few degrees. Keep doing that a couple of times, then, while still doing it, move one side of the heatsink away from the CPU. If you feel the heatsink gets loose, you can safely remove it. Otherwise put it back and try to do more of such movements before attempting to take it out again (for instance, try a different side).

Or something like that. I can't describe it very well in English. *_*
