I just got my asus a8v mobo, and fx-53, with ocz pc3700 EB memory. everything is working pretty well, but I have some questions about the way this motherboard handles memory.
In the memory options, the highest memory frequency I could select was 200 mhz. I assume this means my memory is only running at pc3200 speeds, but I am fairly uncertain about exactly how the fsb and memory speeds relate, and how to get pc3700 speeds. Do I need to overclock my FSB?
Also, I have 4 x 256 memory that is all identical. I know that my motherboard supports dual channel, but can somebody please briefly explain what dual channel is and how it effects performance?
Thanks alot!
