ASUS A8V-E .... Wi-Fi Problems

Initially, when I installed my Wi-Fi I had no problems. Now, I get 'Page can not be displayed' message when surfacing the internet. It says that it can not find the DNS. I have all of the updates and the latest drivers. The odd thing is, I am showing 54MB connection strength. My IP addres is not 169...... either .... I can't seem to figure out what the problem is.

I can surf for about 2 mintues then I can't. The only way to re-initialize is to reboot, but what's the point for another 2 minutes of internet access. Anyone else have the this problem or the solution ?

Just installed a D-Link 614 Wirelss 802.11g: I followed the install instructions to the letter. No problem with wired internet, no DNS problems. Do u run DSL or cable? Install instructions are different. I run cable and the first screen (for D-lInk) I see is for Dynamic IP address assignment. It is different for DSL.

I have a 802.11g wireless modem/router provided to me by Verizon DSL. My first computer is plugged in directly and has no problems at all. I also have a laptop that runs off of a NetGear wireless USB device and works great with the modem/router. Which leads me to think that it has something to do with the motherboard's compatability, the Wi-Fi is built in. It seems odd that the signal strength is at the maximum, yet I can't surf the internet 2 minutes after booting up.
