Asus A8V - Doesn't Recognize SATA DVD Burner in Windows?

Hey Guys...

I am adding a Plextor DVD Burner to my rig, which would be the 3rd SATA device conntected to my motherboard. I have two SATA HDD hooked up as stand-alone drives. When I plug in this puppy to the 3rd SATA port on the mobo, it is not recognized when I get into Windows? What is the deal?

As stated, my SATA HDDs are not hooked up in RAID, and I looked in the Bios to see if there was an option to enable SATA3/4 ports and I couldn't see it?

Any ideas?

On the ASUS A8V there are 4 sata ports, two controlled by the onboard VIA chip and two controlled by the Promise chip. Did you load Sata drivers for windows for both the VIA and the Promise controller? Maybe only the Via is being recognized.
