Asus A8V Deluxe incompatible with Rosewill Memory

I had a lot of problems trying to get XP Home to install on the following build:


AMD 64 Athlon 3500+
ASUS A8V Deluxe MOBO
4x 512 Rosewill PC3200
Samsung 1614N 160 GB ATA133
NEC 3520A DVD
Powercolor 9800Pro128 AGP
Zalman 400PS
Lian-Li PC-60 USB Case

The ultimate solution was swapping out the Rosewill RW400/512 sticks for 2 sticks of the recommended Corsair VS1GBKIT400. Windows XP Home then installed fine.
