Asus A8V Delux on board sound issue with games.

I've had my Asus A8V Deluxe about two weeks now. The only game I play is NASCAR 2003. I have logged in a couple dozen "short" N2003 races, and a couple longer ones (1 to 2 hrs), and during the last long race--while I maintained car engine sound--I lost all speech from the pit boss, spotter and track officials. Haven't figured out the reason yet since it just happened, so don't know if it was MB related or not, but I suspect it may have had something to do with the onboard sound.

Has anyone else heard of this occurring with the Asus A8V while playing any type of game?

If I have to install a sound card to fix this is there a particular card that goes well with this board?

If I install a sound card on this board do I simply have to first go into BIOS and deactivate the onboard sound?

Thanks
