Can I use the WD2500KS hard drive on the ASUS A8V Deluxe motherboard?

Also thinking about the MaXLine III 250? Will this board except this. I am a little confused with SATA 1, 2 and 3? Looked on the ASUS web site and in documentation.

why not? you have 4 sata connections by two controllers. one one the via south bridge and one by promise. I believe all sataII drivers are backward compatible.

just make sure that if you overclock, use the red sata ports at the bottom.
