Asus A8V can't see CPU

So after I get everything installed, I tried turning the computer on and nothing. The fans are spinning but no POST beeps nor any video on the screen. I've double checked all my connections and swapped every possible parts with known working ones but still nothing. I even RMA'd the board thinking it was bad.

I've pretty much come to the conclusion that the BIOS version doesn't support the Venice core a64. On the box it shows that it supports the X2's which I'm assuming came out after the Venice cores, right? This really sucks cause it looks like I'm going to have to pay to get the BIOS flashed the board won't even boot at all.

I thtink the 1011 BIOS is needed to support the rev E processors. Not sure why that's not loaded on there at this point, although this board is supposed to be somewhat dodgy with the newer CPUs and BIOSes anyway, with quite a few people reporting instability and broken vcore and memory divider adjustments.
