I received my ASUS A8V-Deluxe today from zipzoomfly, and I have spent 6+ hours to boot up properly (without clearing out the CMOS after every boot). I am using a FX-55, two sticks of Corsair XL Model 512MB, Antec NeoPower 480W and a x800xt PE. My motherboard is a Rev 2.0, and it comes with the 1007 BIOS, however, I can only boot up the system with POST every first time I cleared the CMOS, or else it would not have NO VIDEO SIGNAL, NO LIGHTS ON THE RAM and have a lady repeating "CPU test fails". I have tried swapping the memory around, and I have tried every combination of one stick and two sticks. still NO HELP!
I then upgraded the BIOS from 1007 to 1008, no help!
Then 1008 to 1009 beta 2, no help!
I had almost given up, and then finally...
1009 beta downgrade to 1006.
AND it seems to work!!

I know that this is weird, ASUS claims bios 1007+ is required for a FX-55 to work.
but man.. at least my computer is booting up properly every time now.

I have one questions though, how can I make sure that my memory is working in dual channel mode. Thanks!

During post the memory test line will show your 512MB in dual channel. Check it out during the next boot. My 939 3400+ worked best when I went from the rev 1 board 1005 bios up to the 1008. I also have the CPU setup running on auto overclock.

I check the Post screen, but it doesn't seems to show me that. Is that showing single/dual channel only available on a later Bios than 1006?
