Asus A8V Bios update help URGENT??

Tried to update my A8V bios from 1013 to 1014 with ASUS update. For some reason it failed after the first erase line. I tried a couple more times and it would not get past the first lone. I exited ASUS update and tried to open it up again but it would not open. It says no bios found. I have not turned the computer off and it is running. But I am afraid I lost my bios. Any suggestions on what I can do???????????

Contacted ASUS and they are going to send me a new chip. Should have it sometime next week. I've been going through there manual and found that this board "Av8 Deluxe" has a "CrashFree Bios" recovery. Not sure it will work in my case since ASUS UPDATE erased the file. Anyone have any experiene with this?

the same thing happened to me mate,try the crash free bios but it didnt work for me even though i tried my old winnie incase the bios on the cd didnt support venice,i think its a common problem as its happened to a couple of us on here
