What is everyone using? I know the Asus Probe is junk, I'm not really into MbM and I doubt it would read correctly, and it seems that Everest isn't capable of showing much details of the new chipset.

I think we might be able to forget monitoring...I can't get the thing to run Prim stabe at stock settings...

My vcore voltage is all over the place on this chip (3500+ Venice "E")...forget about anything else. I'm almost starting to wonder if my cpu is afu.

Setup is as follows:

Asus A8R-MVP bios 0402
AMD 3500+ Venice "E"
OCZ PC3200 Plat Rev 2 1Gb (2x512 of TCC5 I think)
OCZ ModStream 520
WD Raptor 74
WD Cav Enterprise 250
eVga 7800 GT OC
Linksys Wireless

I just put the chip and memory into my other system and it is priming as I type, and this is at 2400...It's gotta be the board....

Memory voltage is at 2.8...it just will not run prime stable. But I have found out that other individuals are having problems with this board using Venice "E 6" Chips...which is what my 3500 is.

CPU-Z will not even run on my system...everything is just blank, so hopefully a bios update will be coming soon.

Ok, here is the latest...I flashed bios 0402 again to make sure the latest cpu information was in there and this is how it now stands:

1) I can boot into windows using manual mode with anything under 2.2Ghz and be stable, yet at the stock speed I'm still unable to run Prime...I just bsod.
2) Manual overclocking is still totally useless with this chip/mobo combo...I don't even post when I change the mult regardless of the speed...this one is strange.
3) If I use the auto overclock, I can boot and run stable at 5% and 10%...not sure what effect this does to the system, but I can push the cpu to 2430 or so with my memory at 1:1 running 2.5-3-2-7 1T @ 2.8 vdimm.
4) I can't post at %15 overclock.

I wish I had another chip to try as I'm starting to think it has something to do with the Venice stepping. Just a thought.

Remember to turn your RD580 under chip to> fast.
Set the hypertransport to max>1000.

(The overclock function seems to raise the fsb.)

Perhaps reset the bios and just work on the memory. Try and hit 240 with relaxed timings @ the proper voltage. If you can't do that after an hour or two there is something wrong with the board, I can hit 280+ 3-3-3-7 1T with Ballistix but run at 240 2.5-2-2-7 no problem. IMO this board is the nforce without the hardware bug (or two). Hope you get it going good.

I can get the system into windows @ 2300 and that is it...regardless of the memory settings. I have tried both fast and normal for the RD580 option. Prime fails after 8-15 minutes. Memtest passes fine.

CPU-Z is almost totally blank...even Everest can't read much information from this setup. Flashed back to 0302 and things get worse, 0402 is the only bios I can seem to get anything out of, but still nothing workable.
