Asus A8NSLI performance question

I have just upgraded from a P4P800/2.4c sys to an A8NSLI/3200winch + 512DC + Leadtek 6800thd/256 + Seagate 80g/7200/sata.
It seems like the HD is not performing as well as it did in the P4P sys. Are there any configurations that need to be changed in the MoBo to make the HD perform optimally?
