asus a8nsli dlx is going out of the window!! ...DFI or MSI?

Ever since owning this FX55, i have been runing it at 260*10 on an msi k8n neo2 platinum (1:1 with corsair pc3200xl, 1T enabled) Needless to say this was a fantastic setup to be air cooled.

Then i upgraded to the a8n-sli deluxe. I can barely get above 210mhz fsb! I've tried bioses, different ram ratios, nothing will budge. If i disable 1T, i can oc it to 260*10 and be stable.

I now decided to trash this mb out and get the DFI or MSI. I have 2 leadtek 6800 gt/ultra with the 2 slot cooler. I've heared they dont fit with the DFi, is this true? If yes, can two Zalman vga coolers fit with the dfi mb?

Try different SATA ports if you have any SATA drives. I couldn't get over 235 on my Epox until I switched SATA ports.

i am using ports 3 and 4 on the nvidia chipset (sata2). I will try ports 1 and 2 asap

I wouldn't waste any money on another board. Your cpu may not be as overclockable as some others. I would get an athlon 64 3000 instead of another board, and try overclocking that.

nah, the cpu is fairly ockable, it used to do 260*10 in my ''old'' msi k8n neo2

after seeing you are using SATA 3&4, using 1&2 might actually fix the problem.
