I just purchased a barebones kit from TigerDirect, including an ASUS A8N5X motherboard. This is the 2nd computer i've put together myself, i didn't run into any problems the first time, but this time i did. After installing all of the parts, and double checking everything, i booted up. Power came on, mobo light went on, fans all spun up, but no display. I had a feeling that it was my videocard, so i switched that out with another, still nothing displayed. The mobo has no onboard video, so i couldn't try that. However, both cards that i tried were regular old pci-video cards... not pci-express, or agp. Could there be a problem with this mobo and standard pci video cards? maybe i should buy a PCI-Express video card and try that? has anyone had this problem before, and come up with a workaround or otherwise fix it? Thanks for reading!
