Hello all.

I'm using Corsair XMS ram i have from a prebuilt computer. I have 2x512 sticks. I did a search for on newegg with the numbers i found on the side of the sticks, and came up with some ECC ram on newegg. The stuff is like $149 per 512 stick.

Is this normal? (It came out of an Alienware Aurora gaming system)

Should i get a different 2GB kit and what would you recommend?

Does this type of ram even work with the ASUS A8N32 SLI?

Here's the link to my RAM on Newegg Click!

Thanks in advance for any help!

Koudelka, the official manual for this board states the following. "Dual-Channel meory architecture : 4 x 184-pin DIMM sockets support unbufferred ECC/non-ECC DDR400/333/266 memory modules. Supports up to 4 GB system memory."

So as long as its unbufferred I imagine it will work fine. I would also check Asus's site for the memory list for this board just to make sure.

I am running 2 x 1 Gig CORSAIR XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) System Memory - Model #: TWINX2048-3200C2PRO, Item #: N82E16820145587. in one system with the A8N32 and in the other I have tried two different sets of 4x 512 OCZ Platnum Rev. 2 and all worked fine on that A8N32.
