I have this MB and am having problems booting into windows.
My friend had an Asus board and had the same problems booting.. he disable legacy USB support and was able to get into windows. I tried that and am still unable to boot into windows.

any suggestions?

use 1 stick of RAM and re-check every single BIOS setting you can possibly click on like RAM timings and voltages etc. rojakpot.com has info on BIOS settings

Can your rig POST? I am not sure what you mean by 'not being able to boot to Windows'. Does it hang while Windows logo displayed on screen? Or does your rig fail to boot at all? (No POST = No BIOS)

I do not have a floppy drive in my system.

my system turns on... gets to the point where it normally detects the HD.... then goes black... i never see the windows logo ....
i can get in the bios.... and all the settings look correct.
it just never gets to the windows logo screen...

uh, do you have a harddrive installed? How about an OS? j/k, but we do need a little more info in order to assist you and be helpful! 😉

Make sure you dont have any USB drives, Ipods, any external storage medium plugged in. Also, make sure your parallel port is enabled in CMOS. Those are two of the oddities I ran into when I used that board.

I did have my IPOD connected to it... and a USB mouse. i tried removing both those devices...still nothing.
I didn't check the parallel port in the cmos.. i'll check that..

if not, any other recommendations?

bios upgrade?

if you disable the fdd controller (floppy disk drive), not just the drive, then it will install. Or just plug a floppy drive.

i tried disabling it last night..... still nothing.

tonight i'll try hooking up a floppy drive to it.

if that doesn't work... i'm updating the bios..
if that doesn't work...
then...... new MB.. no clue
