I'm interested in overclock, and also in top performance, and these are the best motherboards available for socket 939. I just don't know what to choose

go with dfi lanparty Ultra-d and mod it to have sli and sata 2. its easly done with conductive paint/ink. sli-dr and ultra are similar except i think sli-dr has more sata ports? something like 8? do you need 8 sata ports?

If you are going with an ATI card, I would recommend the boards with crossfire capability, as you won't be able to use two ATI cards in an SLI motherboard. If you have to have an SLI motherboard, then you can only use Nvidia vid cards if you need more than 1 card.

Supposed to be some new improved CrossFire mobos coming out next month (Feb) so if you desire ATI/Crossfire you may want to wait and see what ships.

Exactly.

I'm not really interested in crossfire, do you think thar it is better wait for Xpress3200 based motherboards?

I just sent my ASUS MVP back for a refund after I couldn't get the system stable with two different cpu's in it...I'm now waiting on my DFI Expert. The DFI isn't going to be as quiet as the ASUS, but my 7800 GT isn't real quiet...so I went for the performance.

So I would tell you the same...
