Without sounding stupid, I was wondering if you could install an ATI X1900XTX card inside an Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard?

I won't be running crossfire, so single card only... The thing is, i've read alot of reviews about this motherboard, so I consider it to be the best. But unfortunately, I also think that the ATI X1900XTX is better than the Geforce7800 512....

I'm just worried about putting an ATI graphics card in an nVidia chipset motherboard.... Will it work? Or, if it does work will it be underperforming? Do I have to have an ATI chipset motherboard too?

Thanks in advance!

Yes. I am 100% certin that it will work. The PCI-E slot will accept any PCI-E graphics card, no matter who makes it.

Thanks, I will build and le tu know how it goes... btw i've decided to get an X1900XT instead... the extra 'x' on the end isn't worth the expense imho!
