I saw that my asus a8n32-sli came with bios ver 1009 out of the box. The most recent ver is 1103.

Having a previous mishap with a mobo flash has me thinking twice about screwing up this mobo too... so my question based on the description of this 1103 update:

A8N32-SLI Deluxe Bios version 1103
1- Support VCT Function for both LAN.
2- Show pink and red color when oversetting Dram voltage.
3- Fixed System show wrong Memory Installed Size when Enable Memory Hole Function.
4- Update AI Booster Code to improve overclocking ability.

Do i really need to update it to ver 1103 from 1009? Do i "need" these new functions?

thx!

I never flashed mine, still at 1009.

Because I:

Don't care about VCT
Dont care about warnings on ram V, I know what my Ram can or cant do.
Don't use 4GB, Dont user Memory Hole.
Don't use AI booster to OC, I do it manually.

Do not flash to 1103, especially and ironically if you plan to overclock. Stability on it sucks.
