Asus A8N32 or MSI Diamond Plus?

I'm looking to switch to a new socket 939 board and am interesting in both of these. Does anyone have any opinions as to whcih is the overall better board? Thanks, Rob

Heh, good question really.

When i was looking for a new mobo, i considered both.

In fact, the MSI was my first choice, but the store i wanted to buy from didn't have it in stock, so the A8n32-SLI Deluxe became my motherboard.

Last i heard, the MSI still seemed to have a HTT max of around 300, which is disappointing.

Even though i think Asus has been pumping out alot of crap mobos lately, i'd say the A8N32 is slightly better than the MSI overall.

I have an A8N32 (for about 4 months now) and have had a very good experience. Just remember if you go with it and you run MEMTEST86 to test your memory to disable LEGACY USB in the BIOS or MEMTEST86 will crap out on test 6 and higher.

But what exactly does the warm boot issue cause to happen?

It causes a restart to result in a black screen instead of booting up the OS.

Mine does that, but interestingly enough, only with higher overclocks.

It seems it restarts fine when lightly OCed.

It simply means one has to turn off then turn on rather than restart.
