Hi!
I recently put together my comp with an Asus A8N-VM CSM motherboard. I also updated to the latest bios (506).. I noticed two issues with my board:
- I have a case (Silverstone SG01) which has a front audio connector which I hooked up to the motherboard. Now, I can attach my microphone to the front connector and it works but I can get no input on the rear one. This is under Win x64 with the latest drivers from Asus.
- Second, and more annoying, is that q-fan does not work properly: I set a target temperature of 50°C in the bios and run some CPU intense apps in Win x64, which bring the temperature to 57°C and still the fan does not _speed up_ (it's stuck at 68%, according to SpeedFan). As soon as I reboot, however, the fan kicks in and goes up to 100%. In the bios I can then verify that the temperature was indeed more than 50°C. So I get back into Windows (the fan is now still at 100%) until the temperature drops again below that threshold. MYSTICALLY, the fan speed is reduced now back to 68%. In summary, it appears that q-fan reduces my CPU fan speed properly but messes up on increasing its speed.
I was wondering if anyone has had similar problems...
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Peter
