Asus A8N-SLI Premium w/ Artic Cooling Freezer64?

Does the Artic Cooling Freezer64 heatsink work in a normal orientation ATX case with the Asus A8N-SLI Premium?

Or does the motherboard need a "normal" heatsink/fan to create the proper airflow around that end piece on the pipe?

Should be fine, but I always thought that the Zalmans cooled better and were quieter, and cost about the same.
