I have a 4800+ Dual and a Coolermaster Praetorian 730 case with the front ports. I am running Windows XP SR2. In device manager nothing is yellow or has an exclamation mark. The Firewire ports show no problem. I could not get an Epson 1800 printer to work in either the front port of the case or the back port from the motherboard. I tried an Ipod in both ports which it came on and showed it was charging but would not be recognized by the system. Firewire is enabled in the bios. I also have an Audigy 2 card with the firewire port which does work with either device. Anyone know if the Creative software might have screwed up communication with the other firewire ports. I have the Creative card installed in the bottom PCI slot. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same issue with Firewire on my DFI NF4-D. The chip shows up in Device Manager and looks all good. But NOTHING I plug into it is recognized or even acknowledged by Windows. Sucks cause I got some video to edit.
