Hi there,

I have been enabled to install the nvidia driver fo rthe ethernet port on this motherboard. I am invariably ending with an install error. I tried to disable, reboot enable, update the driver from the device manager or a reinstall of Nvidia nforce drivers without much success.
Has someone gotten a similar problem?

Thanks

Eric

I'm running BIOS 1007 with the 6.65 Chipset Drivers and never had an issue.

Hope you didn't install the Firewall & Forceware(? whatever it's called) when installing your Chipset Drivers - these cause problems.

You may also want to turn off the Marvel/Yukon LAN in BIOS if you're not using it.

Wanderer27,
IDoubt I have installed firewall and forceware from Nvidia but will check again.
In fact the Yukon lan works for me. Even off I seem incapable of installing the Nvidia ethernet driver. I guess I need to cleanup this machine and reinstall.

Garikfox,
I thought the drivers comes with the nforce chipset drivers. I have the latest installed 6.70 of nforce. Will check what is the version of the ethernet when I am back at home.

Thanks both of you for your input.

I think the most common Driver set used it the 6.65 version. The 6.66 is basically the same except it has added Windows 2003/Server junk on it as well.

These will have Drivers for the Ethernet in them as well as the Chipset and a few other Drivers.

I know starting at a certain ver of BIOS you need at least 6.xx or problems may occur. There are newer Driver versions, but I haven't messed with them as BIOS 1007 is working fine for me = if it ain't broke don't fix it ;)
