You sound like a complete noob. Did you even try to install your X2 and see if it would boot-up? How about some links that illustrate no post issues w/ this board due to the bios not being X2 compatible?

I also bought my Asus A8N-SLI Premium over a month ago. It came with bios 1005, dual-core supported. I've had zero issues with this board and has probably been one of the best boards I've owned.

If you have bios 1004, your system should still boot-up with a X2 and you'll then be able to flash the bios yourself for free. Why would you send it to Asus and pay for it?

I hate to sound harsh, but the "no post" and "no video" symptom is the most common. These could result from bad memory, bad video card, motherboard, and simple user errors. How about the power supply? Is it adequet and did you plug in both the 24pin and 4pin. If you have a lot of peripherals and running SLI, did you use the EZ plug?

ps. many here will try to help you out, so to directly pin point your problems, you need to give more info. Also please don't post in multiple forums. You should delete all others except the mobo section.

I have been to other forums where a few issues have been stated such as my system wont boot up at all or it will boot but hangs in the bios set up...etc...

Then I checked the grammer and how the problem was presented and it turns out that almost all the people with the problem were iether trying to over clcock there ram right from the gitgo or they had no clue and actually shouldn`t have been allowed to run solo building there systems!!

On my other computer I have never had any issues with the Asus A8N-SLI Premium nForce4 SLI Athlon 64x2 mobo!!

From what I am reading what doesn`t add up here.......let me refresh your memory....

Stop posting in more than one forum noob. You stated in one of your other threads that you bought this from ZZF. I was one of the very first persons to buy it from ZZF when this board was released. My board came with bios 1005 which is X2 compatible.

Have you built a system before? My guess is that it's an user installation issue as I've yet to see this problem posted anywhere else.

Yea I build systems all the time at work but the GOV doesn?t use AMDs They just use INTEL. It just makes things hard when both CPUs are going in different directions. I like AMDs A lot better. I have been with AMD when the 1.4 GHz was faster then Intel Pentium 4 at 2.0 GHz. Just cause I just joined this fourm doesn?t mean I don't know what I m talking about.
BY THE WAY THE NEW BIOS CHIP WORKS GOOD. AND MY SYSTEM IS RUNNING NOW. Bad bios load at the factory.
