Asus A8N-SLI Premium Final Bios 1009

I came here hoping that some brave soul had tried...and liked...the new bios. 🙂

edit: spelling

I came here hoping some brave soul tried...and liked...the new bios.

What do you mean by that? I always flash to their new beta bioses when they come out. Running 1009.004 right now. I've never had any problems with their new bioses, but have seen more and more options and scalability added with new updates.

I can't say anything about what it's meant to fix as I don't have any issues, but it works perfectly fine.

Well...I can state that it's good...but with an X2 proc. you're still stuck at 1.45 vcore. Nothing above that is selectable unless you have a single core chip

How's the vCore fluctuation?
Looks like the best so far(even though I think I fried my nf4 chipset and have to RMA the board no). Setting the vcore to 1.4v, I get an overvolt to 1.44v and then the vcore will fluctuate between 1.44-1.46v

Good to hear it's better. Maybe they'll have it right in a few more releases.

Must be nice...mine is stuck at 1.45 for some reason. I've even tried to flash to older bios' that I KNOW I was able to go to 1.55 on...and I'm still stuck.

If I had the money, I'd swap this out for a DFI or something...this is just getting retarded

3. Modify DDR max speed from 400MHz to 333Hz when full loading.

So whate exactly have they done here. Excuse me for my ignorance but i dont get why they would have slowed something down...or limited it more. Wierd thing is iv never had any problems at all with my A8N Premium. I must be one of the lucky ones.

Any idea if it does anything to make the board work with an Antec NeoHE now? I flashed to 1009 and it works just fine for me, but I haven't purchased this PSU yet.

The Antec problems only surface with older revision A8N boards.

Has anyone been able to install the update to the ASUS BIOS Update Utility? When I try and install it it tells me I don't have an ASUS board installed. Weird.

Really dumb noob question...

But did you have any problems installing your 3700+ on the A8N SLI Premium? I just ordered one and now have noticed according to Asus's website the chipset is only supported on the deluxe version of this board. I have noticed that you and a couple of other members have this chipset and this motherboard and just want to make sure that I won't have any problems with installation.
