I have a problem with my HDD and DVD/CD rom, it seems that they are both being recognized on the same bus channel all of a sudden. This was not an issue before I upgraded to dual core Opteron. I've done 3 reinstalls of WinXP, tried the 6.65 and 6.70 chipset drivers, to no avail.
I get this error when trying to import CD's using iTunes:
IDE\DiskWDC_WD2000JS-00MHB0_____________________02.01C03, Bus Type ATA, Bus Address [0,0]
IDE\CdRomTOSHIBA_CD-ROM_XM-6502B_________________1013____, Bus Type ATA, Bus Address [0,0]
If you have multiple drives on the same IDE or SCSI bus, these drives may interfere with each other.
Some computers need an update to the ATA or IDE bus driver, or Intel chipset. If iTunes has problems recognizing CDs or hanging or crashing while importing or burning CDs, check the support site for the manufacturer of your computer or motherboar
Notice, my SATA HDD and CDROM are both using Bus Address 0, 0 , is this normal?
I have my SATA HD plugged into the SATA 1 slot, and my HDD is using the Secondary IDE channel. Why are they both using the same friggen Bus Address?
