ASUS A8N SLI - Mix SATA and ATA?

When my ASUS A8N SLI I want to mix a new SATA I just got with a standard ATA hard drive that is in my current machine.

First is this possible? And second will it cause any problems with either of drives (especially a slow down with the SATA drive)?

Thanks,
Rich

I am running this board with 2 sata raptors raid0 and 1 ata 250gb no problems. The raid controller in this board will even allow you to create a raid array with mixed drives. Personally I wouldn't put sata and ata together in a raid array. Then you would be pulling the sata drive down to ata performance levels.

As long as you run them as seperate drives the ata will not affect the performance of the sata drive
